Coastline

   Coastline Sea dissected, mountainous shore in some places, low-lying places (Caribbean Lowlands). In shallow areas, there are various coral reef sediments and numerous buildings. On the mainland coast (western and southern part of the sea) there are several bays, the largest of which are: Honduras, Moskitos, Darién, and Venezuela. In the northern part of the gulf are located, Ana-Maria and Gulf of Guacanayabo (south shore of the island of Cuba), as well as the Gulf of Gonaïves (the western part of Hispaniola).

   On the east coast of Yucatan are several bays, including Ascension, Espiritu Santo, and Chetumal. Gulf of Honduras ends Amatike Bay, located on the border of Belize and Guatemala. The northern coast of Honduras is cut poorly, and in the Mosquito Coast juts several lagoons, among which the lagoon Karataska, Bismuna, and Perlas Bluefields Bay. In the east, Panama is a large lagoon of Chiriquí. Along the coast of South America, the Gulf of Darién ends in the Gulf of Uraba, and fenced off Guajira Peninsula, Gulf of Venezuela - Maracaibo Lake. To the west of the island of Trinidad lies the Gulf of Paria, which is considered part of the Atlantic Ocean.
